The Health council of the Netherlands, an indepent scientific advisory body for goverment and parliament, recommend – “eat at least 15 grams (a handfull) of unsalted nuts a day. These nuts can be every kind of nuts. Nuts are healthy because they can reduce the amount of cholesterol in the blood. Every person who eats +/- 15 grams of unsalted nuts a day will decrease the risk of coronary heart diseases.
