Rhumveld Baltic started as Sildest OÜ in 1992, quite in the beginning of new independent era of Estonia. Sildest bought raw material from different traders and resold that in Estonia. Already then packaging facilities were built and strong snack brand called Kommi Asemel was launched in the home market. In time, the company started to expand its activities and offer private label packaging to other companies and look for customers at export markets. The company also started to look for stronger partnerships for supply of raw material and found Rhumveld in the Netherlands as a suitable partner. In 2000 Rhumveld Winter & Konijn bought 70% of Sildest and in 2009 the company was named Rhumveld Baltic. As time went by, the founder of Sildest decided to retire and sold the whole company to Rhumveld. Rhumveld Baltic is 100% owned by Rhumveld Winter & Konijn since 2013.
We at Rhumveld Baltic offer raw material and private label packaging service. In the assortment you can find conventional and organic nuts, seeds, dried fruits, superfoods, and cacao products. We are BRC Food Safety certified, which sets us quite high standards to the supplier selection, purchase process and to the way we handle our warehouse and packaging process.
Rhumveld is constantly working on sustainibility to improve the supply chain. We consider ethical values important and prefer cooperation with partners who have similar principles. Rhumveld Winter & Konijn is part of SEDEX and in 2019 has established Trivium Foundation to help the local communities at countries of origin. As well as, in 2020 we have started cooperation with EcoVadis who will asses our suppliers and help to choose better partners.
