Current global challenges like the COVID pandemic and climate change have impacted the whole cacao chain.
In 2020 part of the harvest was lost, and the current recovery of the field was relatively slow in 2021. For 2022 heavier rainfall is expected in all regions. Even though these circumstances make it challenging, farmers are optimistic and indicate that the harvest will recover.
Overall, demand was quite positive in 2021, with the consumption of chocolate increased considerably worldwide.

Rainforest Alliance
Being Rainforest Alliance members means that we can offer you a UTZ/RA cacao product that was produced by farmers, foresters, and companies working together to create a world where people and nature thrive in harmony with each other.
The Rainforest Alliance is a label for working conditions, environment, and nature conservation for products from areas where rainforest grows. An important criterion is the protection of the rainforest and the well-being of workers. By supporting and working together with the Rainforest Alliance we create an impact on sustainable agricultural practices, store more trees to absorb more carbon and stabilize temperature and moisture by having more shade.
