New crop Eastern European walnuts
We are currently receiving the first loads with new crop Eastern European walnuts.
Quality of this material is looking very good, yet the crop in Eastern Europe is much smaller compared to previous years.
The prices have been under a lot of pressure in the falling market as a result of the big USA crop which we’ve seen, yet we believe that the prices are currently on the bottom of the market and there is not much room for further price reductions. At the same due to limited origins being able to offer organic material, the overall organic supply remains limited and a significant part of this crop has already been committed upon.
