We have started offering 2018 crop organic dried mango from Burkina Faso. As people have more and more interest in dried fruit without added sugar, this naturally dried mango is a perfect snack and can also be used as an ingredient in mixes.
The mango is grown in Burkina Faso, which is situated in West Africa. The annual volume of dried mango is about 2000 MT/Year. The dehydration sector employs around 7000 people, of which 90% are women. Our supplier works exclusively with producers of organic mango.
After harvesting the mangos will go to the processing facility where they are stored until they are ripe. After that they will be sorted, peeled sliced and dried. After the goods have been packed they will be shipped in reefer containers.
Rhumveld is offering strips in the following varieties;
Amelie; Light orange color with a sweet and lightly acid taste and produced between April and mid June. Available on stock end of June.
Brooks; Yellowish color with a very sweet taste and produced between June and August. Available on stock end of September.
